I was able to find a copy of Polks for 19...Brenda,

I was able to find a copy of Polks for 1911 Grand Rapids online.

http://books.google.com/books?id=eFniAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=editions:yy5o1xh2GxsC&hl=en&sa=X&ei=cCHxT6mYFMm42wW8-ImvCg&ved=0CFkQ6AEwBzgK#v=onepage&q&f=false

Page 934 lists 4 Abraham Van Oeverens. Loving a challenge and a mystery, I did a little sleuthing of my own and eliminated two of the addresses as possibles. The other two addresses were 36 Cole Avenue in Grand Rapids, which should be enumeration district 74 for Kent County, Michigan. The other is 114 Central Avenue in Wyoming, Michigan, which could be either ED 147 or 148.

Oh, there was a Nellie Van Oeveren on 137 Spencer Avenue as well. That would be Kent County enumeration district 75. I kind of doubt that will be your Nellie since she would have been so young at the time, and I agree she was probably still at home with her parents.

Good hunting!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
